This fall we spent 11 incredible days exploring the country of Italy. We were able to see and do so many incredible things while on this trip and I thought I would give a brief overview of our itinerary, here, before going into more detail in separate blog posts about each of the locations we visited.

We started off by flying into Milan. We arrived at the Milan Malpensa airport at 9am and took the Trenord Malpensa Express into Milano Centrale train station. After spending a few hours in Milan we then took another Trenord regional train up to Como, where we spent three nights.
Following our stay in Como, we caught the train back down to Milan where we took a Trenitalia speed train down to Florence. We used a Trenitalia Rail Pass which covered all three of our train travel days (read more about it here) Once we made it to Florence we rented a car to drive down to a resort town called Castelfalfi for another three nights.
After our three nights in Tuscany we drove the rental back up to Florence where we caught a 3-hour train down to Salerno, a town that sits at the base of the Amalfi coast. From there we caught a TravelMar ferry which brought us to the beautiful town of Positano. We stayed in Positano for another three nights
The last stop on our trip was Rome! We caught a shuttle from Positano to Naples Central Station where we caught our final train up to Rome. We stayed for one night before catching a flight the next day out of Rome Ciampino.
